According to initial reports, the infant appeared to have been left at the site for some time before being found. Eyewitnesses raised concerns that the baby may have been exposed to the elements and wildlife, prompting urgent calls for investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Local authorities say the mother is suspected to be connected to the case, although her motive remains unclear. The Awutu Senya East Municipal NADMO Director confirmed the incident and stated that police have begun efforts to locate and apprehend the primary suspect.
The baby’s body has since been transferred to the Police Hospital mortuary as investigations continue.
