Benjamin Madugu, Director of Communication, International Cooperation and Strategic Partnership at the Authority, disclosed this during an interview with Sammy Kay on Friday, February 13, 2026. He indicated that the Authority has taken notice of the viral content and is preparing to initiate a formal probe into the matter.
According to Madugu, the immediate priority is to determine whether the individual in question remains within Ghana’s jurisdiction. He explained that authorities are working to establish Trahov’s current location and movements.
“We want to find out if the individual is still within the jurisdiction. If he has left, it is possible he may not have returned to Russia but travelled elsewhere. We will look into the situation carefully to determine the appropriate course of action,” he stated.

Madugu also condemned the alleged conduct captured in the videos and urged members of the public to refrain from sharing the content online. He emphasized that redistributing such material could compound potential legal and ethical violations, particularly if it involves privacy breaches or non-consensual distribution.
The development comes amid growing public debate on digital privacy, online exploitation, and the responsibility of social media users in preventing the spread of harmful content. Authorities say further updates will be provided as investigations progress.
