Fresh Allegations Surface Online as Viral Post Claims Russian Man Involved in Ghana Controversy Is HIV Positive

• Viral Post Alleges Russian Man in Ghana Scandal Is HIV Positive as Authorities Stay Silent

• Social Media Erupts Over Unverified HIV Claims Linked to Russian National at Center of Ghana Controversy

• Health Scare Follows Russian Sex Scandal in Ghana After Explosive HIV Allegations Surface Online

A new twist has emerged in the ongoing controversy surrounding the Russian national linked to viral videos involving Ghanaian women, after a social media post began circulating with serious health-related allegations.

The post, shared by a verified commentary account identified as VeryDarkMan on X (formerly Twitter), claims that the Russian man — referred to in the post as “Baltazar” — has allegedly been exposed by a girlfriend in Russia.

According to the viral claim, the individual is said to be living with HIV and has reportedly stopped taking his medication. The post further alleges that he made statements about spreading the infection before his death. However, these claims remain unverified, and no official medical documentation or confirmation from health authorities has been provided to substantiate them.

The post urged people in Ghana to be cautious and encouraged widespread reposting to raise awareness. Since then, the allegation has triggered widespread alarm, with many social media users expressing fear, anger, and concern over potential public health implications.

No Official Confirmation

As of now, there has been no confirmation from the Ghana Health Service, the Cyber Security Authority, or the Ghana Police Service regarding the authenticity of the health claims circulating online.

Medical information is highly sensitive and confidential, and public disclosure without verified evidence raises legal and ethical concerns, including potential defamation and privacy violations.

Public Health and Responsible Communication

Health experts consistently emphasize that HIV is a manageable medical condition with proper treatment. Individuals who adhere to antiretroviral therapy and maintain an undetectable viral load cannot transmit the virus sexually — a concept widely known in global health advocacy as “Undetectable = Untransmittable” (U=U).

Spreading unverified claims about someone’s health status can fuel stigma, misinformation, and unnecessary panic. Public health authorities generally encourage individuals to rely on official channels for accurate updates and to avoid resharing sensitive allegations that have not been confirmed.

Growing Online Tension

The resurfaced allegation has intensified scrutiny around the Russian national’s activities in Ghana, especially following earlier viral videos and the announced investigation by the Cyber Security Authority.

While social media remains flooded with reactions, authorities have yet to issue a formal statement addressing the specific health-related claims. Until verified information is released by competent institutions, the circulating reports remain allegations.

The situation continues to evolve, with many calling for a thorough investigation to establish the facts while urging the public to act responsibly in sharing sensitive content online.
