A man believed to be a foot soldier of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been arrested at the Alisa Hotel in Accra after being found with a substance suspected to be marijuana.
According to eyewitnesses, the suspect, who reportedly posed as a blogger, was seen filming and taking pictures during the Ministry of Local Government’s orientation program on the 24-hour economy model market. The event was attended by several Regional Ministers, MMDCEs, and officials from various Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs).
His suspicious behavior caught the attention of security personnel at the venue. Upon questioning and a search, they allegedly discovered the suspected substance on him.
The suspect has since been handed over to the police for further investigation.
