The Motorcycle Couriers Union of Ghana (MCUG) has commended Cosmas Anpengnuo, Executive Secretary of the Postal and Courier Services Regulatory Commission (PCSRC), for spearheading stakeholder-driven digital reforms aimed at transforming Ghana’s courier industry.
In a statement, the Union expressed appreciation for the Commission’s extensive engagement with industry players in developing a robust digital registration system designed to enhance regulation, efficiency, and transparency across the sector.
According to MCUG, the proposed digital registration system — which was recently presented for stakeholder feedback — reflects thorough planning and a strong commitment to innovation. “The proposed digital registration system is comprehensive and insightful,” the Union stated, emphasizing that it represents a major step toward advancing professionalism and growth within the courier industry.
The Union also praised the Executive Secretary and the Commission for ensuring that the voices of all stakeholders were heard and integrated into the reform process. MCUG stressed that active stakeholder participation remains crucial in establishing a resilient and effective regulatory framework that meets the evolving needs of the sector.
Highlighting the system’s potential benefits, the Union noted that it would streamline operations, minimize administrative bottlenecks, and enhance service delivery for courier operators nationwide. “Improved regulation will foster greater professionalism, accountability, and trust within the industry,” MCUG added, pointing out the positive ripple effects of the reforms.
MCUG expressed optimism about the progress made so far and reaffirmed its commitment to continued collaboration with the Commission and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the new system.
