The National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) has arrested a suspect believed to be behind several fake social media accounts impersonating the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat.
According to officials, the suspect had created multiple fraudulent pages and profiles across various platforms, luring unsuspecting citizens with promises of scholarships and financial aid in exchange for money.
The Ghana Scholarship Secretariat has cautioned the general public to be vigilant and avoid engaging with such fake accounts. The Secretariat has also urged anyone who may have fallen victim to these scams or made any form of payment to report immediately with supporting evidence.
