According to Ken Agyapong, his personal dealings and accumulated information about Dr. Bawumia have altered his view of the Vice President’s character. He stated that while Dr. Bawumia presents himself as innocent and gentle in public, his actions behind the scenes suggest otherwise.
“I can no longer describe Dr. Bawumia as a fine gentleman,” Ken Agyapong reportedly said. “He looks innocent on the outside, but he is very wicked.”
The outspoken politician did not, however, provide specific evidence or detailed examples to support his allegations. His comments have nonetheless reignited internal tensions within the New Patriotic Party (NPP), especially at a time when the party is navigating post-election realities and future leadership restructuring.
Ken Agyapong is known for his blunt and often controversial commentary on political figures across party lines, including members of his own party. His latest remarks are already generating strong reactions among party supporters, political analysts, and the general public, with some calling for him to substantiate his claims, while others see the comments as part of ongoing internal power struggles.
As of the time of this report, neither the Office of the Vice President nor Dr. Bawumia himself has officially responded to the allegations.
The development adds another layer to the evolving political discourse within Ghana’s ruling party, as public attention remains fixed on accountability, leadership integrity, and unity ahead of future national elections.
