Only a Mad Person Will Speak Like Kennedy Agyapong Is Speaking — Blind Historian Attacks NPP Presidential Aspirant Over Tribal Remarks

A strong sympathizer of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, popularly known as The Blind Historian, has launched a fierce verbal attack against NPP presidential aspirant and former Assin Central MP, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, over comments he allegedly made during a community engagement in Kyebi.

During a phone interview, the political activist—referred to locally as Bulgaria—claimed that Kennedy Agyapong’s statements during his campaign tour were divisive and “reckless.” According to him, Kennedy allegedly encouraged the people of Kyebi to cherish their Akan identity and support an Akan presidential candidate, warning that if leadership went to another tribe, Akans would be turned into “slaves.”

The Blind Historian said these remarks convinced him that claims made earlier by Koka—alleging that Kennedy’s head had been opened before and “some part of his brain removed and formatted”—were believable. He stressed that “only a mad person will speak like how Kennedy Agyapong is speaking on his campaign community engagement.”

He further argued that Kennedy Agyapong’s tribal comments do not reflect reality. As an example, he pointed out that President John Mahama, a northerner, has appointed Ato Forson, an Akan, to lead the Ministry of Finance. He insisted that Kennedy’s claims therefore “do not sound right.”

According to the activist, the NPP is currently suffering because certain individuals within the party are attacking personalities instead of focusing on unity and development. He stated plainly that he does not care if the party collapses due to such behavior.

He emphasized that the only aspirants he supports are Dr. Bawumia and three others—excluding Kennedy Ohene Agyapong—whom he believes will “destroy the party” if he wins the primaries. He concluded by saying that everyone in politics is fighting for their personal interest, and he is also fighting for his.
