Popular Ghanaian content creator Amaro Shakur has expressed support for social critic Twene Jonas, after experiencing life outside Ghana for the first time.
According to Amaro, his trip to Turkey was fully sponsored by Hon. Oheneba Kwame Frimpong, the Member of Parliament for Ashanti Akyem North, who invited him to join 15 Ghanaian footballers travelling for football justifiers in Turkey.
Speaking about his experience abroad, Amaro said he was shocked and inspired by the level of development in Turkey.
> “Upon arrival in Turkey, I was overwhelmed by how well they’ve developed their cities. Now I understand why Twene Jonas always insults our leaders. We’re really falling behind,” he stated.
He further urged Ghanaian leaders to fast-track national development efforts, saying citizens deserve better living conditions and modern infrastructure.
Amaro Shakur’s statement has since sparked reactions online, with many agreeing that traveling abroad opens one’s eyes to Ghana’s developmental challenges.
