According to the Fire Service, the suspect was apprehended after Fire Officers pursued leads provided by residents and collaborated closely with the White Chapel Youth Group at Madina, whose timely intervention played a vital role in tracking him down. The suspect is currently in Police custody and assisting with ongoing investigations to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
The Fire Service has expressed deep appreciation to all individuals and groups whose actions helped secure the arrest. They emphasized that the community’s prompt response and willingness to share vital information highlight the importance of public collaboration in maintaining safety and supporting emergency workers.
The GNFS also used this opportunity to encourage the public to continue cooperating with security agencies, especially in situations where emergency responders face threats while carrying out their duties. The service reiterated that attacks on firefighters are not only criminal but also undermine efforts to protect lives and property.
Authorities assure the public that investigations are ongoing and further updates will be provided in due course. Meanwhile, the Fire Service says a big “ayekoo” to everyone who contributed to ensuring justice takes a step forward in this matter.
