According to a statement from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), the suspect, Samuel Obeng Acheampong, was picked up on 22nd November 2025 through an intelligence-led operation. During interrogation, he admitted to the act and revealed that the incident happened about five years ago.
The Police further noted that the suspect is currently in custody assisting with investigations and will soon be arraigned before the court.
The Service emphasized its commitment to protecting children and warned the public against any actions that put minors at risk. They stressed that individuals who engage in harmful acts toward children will be pursued and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
