According to information received, staff members near a block known as “18 Units” were alerted that some students from Frafraha Community Day Senior High School had entered one of their classrooms without authorization. Teachers reportedly approached the classroom and asked the students to leave and return to their school.
The situation escalated when the visiting students allegedly reacted aggressively and attempted to confront the teachers. Two additional teachers joined their colleagues to restore order, after which the students left the premises.
However, later that day at about 4:30 p.m., the situation reportedly took a more serious turn. Witnesses claim that several motorcycles arrived carrying individuals described as thugs, who allegedly stormed the school compound and physically assaulted teachers, striking them with sticks and causing injuries.
Sources indicate that this is not an isolated occurrence. There are claims that even minor disciplinary actions, such as the confiscation of a student’s mobile phone, have previously triggered threats or involvement of outsiders against school authorities.
The matter has been reported to the Ghana Police Service through the Adenta Police Station. Victims were reportedly referred for medical treatment and later returned to the station to assist with investigations. However, the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) officer assigned to the case was not available at the time.
Follow-up actions are said to be ongoing.
The incident has sparked concern about campus security and the safety of teachers. Educational institutions are expected to provide a secure environment for both staff and students, and any breach involving external attackers raises serious questions about enforcement and protection measures.
