Speaking on the matter, the Minister stressed that the government is committed to ensuring the individual is brought back to Ghana to face justice if investigations confirm wrongdoing.
“That gentleman will be traced. We will activate every resource at our disposal, working with INTERPOL and the Russian authorities, in collaboration with our own law enforcement agencies. We want him brought back to Ghana to face the law,” he stated.
The announcement signals a potential escalation of the case from a social media controversy to an international law enforcement matter. Authorities are expected to collaborate with global policing bodies and foreign counterparts to determine the suspect’s whereabouts and legal status.
The development follows public outrage and growing calls for accountability after allegations surfaced that the foreign national secretly recorded encounters with Ghanaian women and shared the content online.

Legal analysts say the case could involve violations relating to privacy, non-consensual recording, cybercrime, and the distribution of intimate material without consent. If pursued internationally, extradition proceedings would depend on jurisdictional cooperation, evidence thresholds, and applicable treaties.
The statement underscores the government’s intention to address digital exploitation and protect citizens from unauthorized recording and online abuse.
As investigations continue, the public awaits further updates from law enforcement agencies regarding the suspect’s location and any formal charges that may be pursued.
