• Prophetic Authority Under Scrutiny After Bernard Elbernard’s Kennedy Agyapong Declaration Collapses

Prophet Bernard Elbernard Nelson-Eshun has issued a public statement and apology following the outcome of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries, admitting that his widely publicized prophecy did not materialize.

Through a book, videos, and multiple media interviews, the prophet had declared that Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong would emerge victorious and become the NPP’s flagbearer. However, the results of the primaries proved otherwise.

In his statement, Prophet Bernard acknowledged that the prophetic word “did not come to pass,” openly admitting that he was wrong and expressing deep remorse. He emphasized that because he spoke with prophetic authority, many people trusted his declaration, and some may have been emotionally, spiritually, or politically affected by it.

“I take full responsibility for this prophetic word,” he stated, adding that he does not blame anyone nor shift responsibility for the failed prediction.

The prophet extended a heartfelt apology to everyone who trusted his message and felt hurt, disappointed, or negatively impacted. He particularly expressed regret to individuals who may have made decisions based on his declaration.

Describing the moment as one of reflection and accountability, Prophet Bernard said the experience has caused him to pause and realign himself, especially regarding how prophetic revelations are communicated publicly. He reaffirmed his commitment to integrity, growth, and truth.

He also apologized to believers in Ghana and around the world who may have felt disappointed or whose faith may have been shaken as a result of the prophecy. Despite the setback, he maintained that he remains grateful to those who have corrected him “in love” and to those who continue to pray for him.

The apology has sparked conversations within religious and political circles about the role of prophetic declarations in national political discourse and the responsibility that comes with such public pronouncements.
